The first training event for kindergarten teachers as part of the Erasmus+ project “Kids & Laws” will take place in Athens, Greece, from July 7 to July 12, 2024. This initiative aims to equip educators with innovative approaches for teaching preschool children about basic legal norms, moral behavior, and respect for human rights. The training will cover key topics, including encouraging tolerance, reducing discrimination, promoting the rule of law, and implementing strategies to manage and reduce aggression in young children. Participants will engage in interactive workshops, case studies, and collaborative exercises to develop practical lesson plans and apply educational methods effectively.
The event also features parallel sessions for project leaders, focusing on refining promotional strategies and establishing a transnational partnership to improve educational processes in the regions of North Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Greece. Digital tools such as the eTwinning platform, along with open educational resources like Padlet and Story Jumper, will be introduced to enhance collaborative learning and project presentation.
Beyond professional development, the program offers cultural and networking opportunities, including a traditional Greek dinner to foster connections among participants. The training will culminate in the creation of 24 detailed lesson plans and strategic documents, reflecting a comprehensive effort to enhance preschool education with a focus on legal and ethical foundations. This event represents a significant step towards improving early childhood education practices across partner regions.
