The second training event for kindergarten teachers as part of the Erasmus+ project “Kids & Laws” will be held in Velingrad, Bulgaria, from August 4 to August 9, 2024. This training continues the project’s mission to provide educators with effective tools and methodologies to introduce preschool children to basic legal norms, moral behavior, and respect for human rights.
The program includes a series of comprehensive sessions designed to enhance the skills of educators. Topics covered include the use of open educational resources (OER) for young children, fostering tolerance, reducing discrimination, addressing aggressive behavior, and introducing the rule of law and respect for human rights through practical case studies and lesson plans.
Participants will engage in collaborative team-based exercises, creating 24 preparatory lesson plans and eight detailed case studies for classroom implementation, guided by expert trainers from partnering NGOs.
In parallel, project management team members will work on developing a document for establishing a transnational strategic partnership to enhance educational processes in North Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Greece. The agenda also emphasizes interactive activities, such as practical demonstrations of the created scenarios and small group discussions for evaluation and feedback.
A highlight of the event is the social and cultural exchange, including a traditional Bulgarian dinner, fostering stronger connections among participants. The training concludes with presentations of the outcomes, discussions on future project activities, and planning for long-term transnational events in participating kindergartens. This event aims to further the project’s vision of equipping educators with innovative strategies to nurture responsible and ethical behavior in young children.
